- The densely packed matter exploded violently, with a big bang.
- It then sent out matter and energy in all directions; even today, the matter continues to expand from the epicenter, even today
- Over long periods of time, the galaxies and stars we have today, began to form from the exploded matter.
Analysis:
1. As the balloon expands the other galaxies move farther away.
2. Using the red shift they can predict this.
3. For actual distance purposes this would not be, but to show expansion of the galaxies this would be appropriate.
